Anxious Patients

If you suffer from anxiety, phobia’s or any medical conditions which affect your dental treatment, the caring, friendly team at EVP Dental is able to offer two options to alleviate these problems to make your next visit to the Dentist as stress-free and as comfortable as possible.

Happy Gas

With no lasting side effects and a return to normal only minutes after ceasing treatment, happy gas, is a safe option for both adults and children who require additional care during their dental treatment. It will replace any anxiety or stress with a relaxed, happy feeling to make your treatment a completely painless experience.

Intravenous (IV) Sedation

Commonly known as ‘sleep dentistry’, Intravenous Sedation is an effective option to allow those patients suffering from anxiety to complete their treatment in a relaxed, painless manner. Unlike a general anaesthetic, patients under IV Sedation will remain partially conscious throughout their treatment. During this state, time will seem to pass very quickly meaning patients will remember very little, if any, of their treatment. This is also a great option for patients who may require extensive or multiple treatments in a single appointment. To ask about this option, please speak to our friendly staff or contact us today.

General Anaesthetic

The option of a General Anaesthetic is also available for all our treatments and is especially effective for children who wish to avoid the invasive nature of some procedures. If a patient does require this option, our practice will need to be notified in advance so their treatment may be complete at the local hospital with the help of a qualified anaesthetist. Under this form of sedation, patients will remain unconscious for the duration of their treatment and only awaken upon its completion. If you’re looking for painless dental in EVP Dental look no further. Call our friendly staff today on (08) 9470 3944 to make an appointment.
